Iris Update

The vet wants to see Iris. Her fecals were actually pretty clean, so we don't know what's causing these symptoms. Now the question becomes - pay the exorbitant farm-visit rate, or put a goat with explosive diarrhea in my van?

  1. Wow, that's like a double edged sword. Hope you find out what is wrong with her.

  2. (I'm thinking "no" or "not at this time" on the farm visit....)

Hope everything gets figured out! And, I'm hoping you have a LOT of tarps to line the van with.

  3. Put her in the van, but point her arse out of the window. Job done!

  4. Mineral deficiency or imbalance? Copper comes to mind.

I'm guessing you have read Pat Coleby's Natural Goat Care.

  5. We had to have a vet visit and were told it would be a sliding rate determined by how far he had to come. He lives maybe five minutes away from us. The extra charge(on top of what we paid for medication and the procedure) was $100. For a visit lasting not even 5 minutes.
I say, put a diaper on her.

  6. I say invest in a canopy for the pick-up for just these occasions. I can't begin to tell you the amount of explosive diarrhea that has been in the back of marcus's truck. Probably enough to fertalize a commercial farm. And that was just one road trip with a giardia sickened dog, rest her soul.
