I have over a foot of ice in the horse's water tank (only bust open a hole). One of my new, heated bird waterers failed. The de-icer isn't quite doing the job for the ducks/turkeys. And this morning, when we had a very high low for the night (17), my hot water line froze. It's an easy fix, but a pain. I have blankets covering my truck's nose with a heat lamp under it, trying to get it started...

I haven't tried bubble wrap, but it should work well! I hope it does!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08421589409738817614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7009967346802541581.post-88697150763998785712013-12-08T06:01:06.507-08:002013-12-08T06:01:06.507-08:00Well, I think the view is probably worth it. It's not particularly well insulated, but a small cube is easy to heat with a wood stove in the basement. But the downsides are, small windows and not enough sunlight to hold off the winter blues (at least for my wife). If we were neighbors I'd invite you over to sit by the stove, and send Monica over in three sweaters to drink tea by your window. At least until the bubble wrap goes up . . .Anubis Bardhttp://anubisbard.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
