Goat Babies 2011!

Iris threw triplets for the second year in a row. This time we have one buckling and two doelings, all as alike as peas in a pod, all the spitting image of their mama. They were born without complications, alone, because Iris took us by surprise. Homero heard one of the newborns bleating and came in to tell me he thought they must have been born. So they were! All three were on the ground when we got out there, but the last one had not yet stood up, and Iris hadn't yet passed the third placenta. We carried the babies and led Iris into the mama barn, and watched while they all three nursed for the first time.

I adore baby goats, I absolutely do!

How can you not love goat babies? :) It's the best time of year hands down! and your kids are absolutely adorable! I'm in love with the spots. I'm thrilled everything went well for mama and the kids, perfect situation.

So Precious! I adore baby goats as well and can't get in enough kid hugs and kissed. I told my girlfriend that anyone who suffers from depression should be prescribed hugs and kisses to kid goats and 15 min of watching them play. BTW, Your children are beautiful!!!!

They are absolutely adorable. I am hoping one of our mamas is pregnant-it appears that her udder has started dropping.
